Explain This
Theo has been sick for 3 days, and I"m still one of the horrible Mom's who give their child under 2 cough syrup and antihistamines. I've noticed this before when cooking that different brands of measuring cups measure differently. For example, When I use my Pyrex to measure a cup of sugar, whatever, it's less than when I use my white plastic one, which is different than my black metal one. Same goes for Teaspoons, etc. I notice this more when dolling out Theo's medication. He prefers to take his Tylenol Cold medication from a syringe as opposed to the little cup, but the syringe is too big to fit into the bottle, so I have to poor out a teaspoon into the little cup and then use the syringe to suck up the medicine. Well, 1 tsp in the cup equals over 1 1/2 teaspoon in the syringe. Shouldn't a teaspoon be a teaspoon? A cup be a cup no matter what measuring device you're using?
On a side note...I took Theo into the doctor today as I've been unable to get his wheezing under control with his Asthma medication. He was up all night coughing. Poor kid. Anyway, I was able to get things into check while at the doctor's office, and while there, we discovered he has 2 raging ear infections. Dr. A said "If he's not responding to you, it's not that he's ignoring you, it's that he can't hear". A little "Ouch, Mommy, ear" would be nice. Poor kid's been suffering for awhile.
