I'm Back
I know all five of my readers have missed me terribly...sorry for the delay in blogging, but we've been busy. My Brother was in town for a bit, and it was great! I didn't get to spend nearly enough time with him, but after almost 2 years, I was happy to get what I got! Then, my Dad came in town (his visit over lapped my brother's a bit) and he just left today. I think he's going to need a vacation. The kids "energy" sort of overwhelmed him. They loved having him here, and I did too! It just reinforces how much I miss being around my family. I doubt we'll ever move, but I do miss being together.
The huge consignmnet sale I took part in was this past weeked. I'm still waiting to see how much money I made. If I sold everything, I will net about $300. 'Taint bad!
The kids have been cute. Theo broke the cute meter last night. We were walking back to the car after dinner. He was on the outside, holding my hand. I was also holding Emma's had and she was also holding my Dad's. So it was Theo, Me, Emma and Dad. Well, Theo kept pulling away from me. I kept thinking that he just wanted to run ahead, so I'd grab his hand again and he'd pull away. Finally he said, "Mama!" Pulled away from me and ran to hold Emma's hand. It was so sweet. When we got to the car, he turned and gave Emma a HUGE hug. It was adorable. He doesn't do that with us, and it just totally warms my heart to see how much my kids just love each other.
Theo also has been diagnosed with illness induced Asthma. No fun. I have to give him 3 breathing treaments a day for the next 2 weeks. It worries me to have him on steroids for so long, but his wheezing is horrible. What's crazy is that his oxygen levels are 98 out of 100, but it looks and sounds like they'd be about 80. Anyway, I meet with our pediatrician for a follow up on Thursday, and I'm going to talk to her about the medication. (Luckily our new insurance has better prescription coverage, so the medicine was only $50 instead of $360! YAHOO!!!)
Oh, and the downside of having a maid....I let everything wait. Spills, etc. because, "Well, Carmen is coming in 7 days and the floors will get done then." Ughh. My house is a wreck!
And Saturday we see Wicked! I'm so excited! We have house seats, so we'll get to go backstage, meet the actors, etc. It will be my first play since retirement...it's going to be rough, in a way. I think I've been practicing my Tony Award speach since I was 8.
