Taxes

I hate preparing our tax info for the accountant. Hate it. Hate it. Hate it! Probably why we just filed out 2005 taxes in February. The real stinker is that our tax refund is usually quite substantial and WE NEED THE MONEY! So, this year, I was much smarter. I filed our receipts as we got them, in the appropriate file, so that it would make things easier. Being in the entertainment business pretty much makes tax prep SUCK. Tim had over 15 W2s, not to mention the thousands of receipts that must be totaled for business deductions. Tim is the king of procrastination, so I've taken over doing all the tax prep. Which brings me to this year. I had everything organized, totaled, and the worksheet for the accountant completed for drop off 3 WEEKS ago. Yes, long before the deadline. Long before an extension would need to be filed. I was done, people. Done. Or so I thought. Upon telling Tim I had finished the tax worksheet, he said, "I want to take a look at everything before you drop it off to Dianne." Okay. Fine. Yet everything is still sitting on my dining room table. Untouched. Un-perused. Not a glance has been laid in its general direction. And now I'm getting irritated. Procrastination is my biggest pet peeve. And knowing we have money waiting for us...is making me crazy!
