Allelujia!
Two great things have happend back to back for us:
1. I had lost our digital camera at Emma's dance recital. They held it at Beverly Hills High School, and it was complete chaos. In mix of grabbing both kids and 3 bags, it must have fallen out. I was so upset because I have been lazy lately, and have not been downloading immediately into IFoto, so our card had about a month and a half worth of photos on it, including our trip to see Tim's Mom in St. Louis. I had called the high school on a whim, and they had not found it. I had checked the Lost and Found box at the dance studio on Tuesday, and didn't find it. Well, Emma's dance teacher just called and the found it! YAHOO!
2. Tim is still unemployed, and no REAL job prospects on the horizon. (He is having lunch with the UPM of Ugly Betty tomorrow, so that'd be good) We filed 2006 late, and got our papers back yesterday. Get this...we will be getting back just under $17,000! Is that crazy or what?! Tim claims 6 dependents, and they still take out roughly $1,200 a paycheck (every week) for taxes. The bummer: We're finally ahead, and if Tim was working we could get the kitchen and baths redone (which they DESPERATELY need), and we'd still be ahead. (We refinanced and pulled cash out and got totally out of debt....aside from our insanely huge mortgage) BUT...we'll be okay! And that is so HUGE! It's hard not to run out and buy the new furniture I've been coveting, order the new front door, hire the guys to redo our fireplace, and add a flat screen with killer surround sound system.
Anyhow, this is a HUGE WOOOOOHOOOOOOOO!!!!
