I'm so Not Cool

Okay. So for almost 5 years now, I've wanted a pair of Knee High black boots. But, they're always too expensive, so i've resisted. By the time they hit Ross or Marshalls, etc... they only have size 8s. So, when Mom and Dad sent me some Christmas money, I decided to buy some.

Today, I hit Macy's. Found a really cute pair... a nice square toe and thick heal. As I was waiting for the lady to bring out the left boot, a woman, about my age, maybe 5 years older, asked me if they were comfortable. I started rambling, blah blah blah, and finished off with a "yes, they're really comfortable". She said, "Yeah, I've been looking all over for a pair for MY MOM." My MOM. Good Lord.

My look caused her to try to back peddle a bit.

I bought the damn boots anyway. So now, I'll be hip in the 65+ circles.
