Almost 3 Weeks
Tim's been in St. Louis for just under 3 weeks. I haven't had more than 4 hours of sleep a night, and for those that know me, this is so not a good thing. Between just not being able to sleep well without Tim home, and one of the kids waking up for one thing or another, I'm spent. Theo had a major asthma attack on Wednesday (around 4:00am)...this one was totally out of the blue because he really wasn't showing signs of a cold (which is what usually triggers them). I've taken dairy out of his diet not for a little over a month, so I guess it's not a milk allergy causing it. I'm just thankful I was finally able to get things under control. The thought of dragging both of them to the emergency room at 4:30am was overwhelming, to say the least.
So suffice it to say, I am NOT cut out to be a single parent. Tim has been informed that if he ever decides to leave me, he must find a replacement before that will even be an option.
How do the military wives do this? For up to a year?!
Perhaps if I had family around to lend a hand.
For now, I just need some sleep.
Saturday night can not come fast enough.

Oh, I'm so sorry! That is really, really hard. Brian was away for 5 days when Siri was 8 weeks old. I thought I would die of exhaustion. Hang in there. It's almost over!
