A Happy Day After All...

So I got off my depressed ass and made a great day for the kids. We went swimming for 2 hours at our friend's house, and they had a blast! Then, we came home for dinner with "Uncle Bruce" (Theo's Godfather and my savior), and he then treated us to an outing to Baskin Robbins where the kids got to pig out on their favorite ice cream. We got back home, threw them in the tub, and then went off to another friend's house who lives right above the CBS Studios, so we were able to watch the fireworks display unobstructed. I never usually keep the kids up past 8:00, so the fact we got home at 9:45 was a BIG treat for them! The hung in their, and had a great time. Theo asked if "Daddy is watching fireworks in St. Louis". If only I could post a voice recording of how Theo pronounces St. Louis... it's so funny!

All in all it was a successful day. We have a tentative swim get together tomorrow and another on Sunday. I so wish we had a pool, but it's good for me to be forced out of the house.
