Happy New Year... almost
So we FINALLY made it back from Philly. Christmas was awesome! So happy my folks could come up, and we just had the best time at my sister-in-law's. Some of my favorite memories from this Christmas:
Everyone was busy un-wrapping presents. I notice Emma looking up (she didn't think anyone was watching)... she closed her eyes and whispered "thank you, Santa! Thank you!" She got the one thing she wanted: a stuffed Sleeping Beauty doll. (personally, I find those stuffed disney princesses rather creepy). Thanks to E-Bay, Santa spent all of $7 on her present!
Second favorite memory:
Theo says "Joseph" so cute. Probably like most other 3 year olds. Sort of sounds like Joe-fish. Anyway, we were at the table and I was trying to get him to say it so everyone could hear it. I asked him, "Theo. Who was Joseph's Daddy?" (Now, don't get all technical on me. I find comprehending the trinity difficult enough, so for me, Joseph is Jesus' Dad) He needed some prompting, so I said, "JOE..... And Theo triumphantly shouts "JOE BIDEN!" Ah. I love my true, blue, liberal son! (My niece's boyfriend's family is very close to Joe Biden, and that story went over smashingly. On that note as well... I hear more personal accounts about Joe Biden. The behind the scenes stuff no one would ever hear about, and I have to say, I love that man.)
We got to feed horses, ride a fancy train, see some Amish, have great ice cream, explore, do arts and crafts, play games and just spend lots of time laughing. It was one of the best Christmases I can remember.
I'm glad to be home, though. Emma starts soccer on Friday, and she and I are going to Wicked on Saturday. And I think I've solved the Facebook Hacking problem for now. God, how annoying!
I'm gonna drink some hot tea (lost my voice from the cold I caught in Philly), and perhaps stay awake until the New Year! (Well, New Year East Coast Time)
