Emma

Emma read her first book tonight! It was "Pig Wig" from the phonics series. She was so proud of herself! It was so cool. She's just learning a mile a minute now.

Emma also has a huge crush on this boy at school. He's not even in her class, but she does see him when the kindergarteners eat lunch. (She first met him at the orientation picnic before school started) She want to marry him because "he's SOOOOOO handsome!" Lord. Tonight we had a Spaghetti dinner fundraiser at her elementary school. She HAD to wear her twirliest dress, and requested that I "give her Dorothy hair" (meaning 2 braids like Dorothy from The Wizard of Oz). She talked about this boy the entire ride over. She just about freaked when she saw him in line. We waved, and smiled at her, and she just about fainted. Then she had to show off for him by picking up her 38lb brother and swing him around. She kept looking to see if he was watching. Tim's thinking about finding an all girl school....

She is loving school, and I'm so happy. She's already requested a play date with one of the girls in her class. She seems to be taking everything in stride, and not getting upset over the little things. She's really blossoming.
