Proposition 8

Prop 8 is on the ballot out here in California.  It's a movement to make Gay Marriage illegal again. I am, of course, voting no.  

Really, who gives a shit?  Aren't there more things to focus your time, money and energy on than on something that really has no effect on you?  Does giving the right to two people who love each other the equal opportunity to legalize their union before God and friends somehow threaten heterosexual unions, or somehow make them less important?  Give me a break!  

As for those Religious conservatives out there... same sex unions do not go against the 10 commandments.  Jesus never ONCE talked about same sex unions.   Are we to follow Jesus' example, or the information in a letter (which wasn't addressed to "us") written by Paul?
