It's SO Easy Being Green
Some of you may or may not know this, but I started a Green Cleaning and Consulting business. I'm loving it. I love knowing I'm helping the environment and helping people get healthier in the process.
So, on that note... I've been gathering every product in my house, reading the ingredients and replacing them with "green/non-toxic" products. (That, surprisingly, are saving me money and working better and just as well as the "bad" stuff. Dude I've gotten sharpie off the floor, paint out of my kid's clothes... wiped a pot w/ baked on mac & cheese after soaking for a minute in the dish soap... yup... this stuff is awesome!)
The question was what to do with the remaining "bad" products. Some only had about 1/4 left in the bottle. Well, I took a chance and gathered them up (3 boxes worth) and took them to Costco and Target (where I had purchased them). I got a store credit on all but one thing (a bottle of 409), but it was 4 years old, so I can't really complain.
So, now I have a toxic free, phosphate free home. I purchased some great new products at the Go Green Expo this weekend.
Now, I just need my Solar Panels, my Electric Car, my fake (recyclable) grass, some hemp or bamboo clothing...

Wow. I would love to know what got the Sharpie out!
It's called So-u-mel. (you can only get it through a distributor. I'll send you a message on FB about how to buy some. It also lightened Sharpie that was on one of Emma's shirts. Didn't get it all out, but I didn't spend too much time trying. Did get the baked on glue off her dress, though) Oh, and the same stuff does what Mr. Clean Magic Eraser does w/out taking off paint. (I still love them, though) AND when I added a capful to my Tub & Tile cleaner, it got the mildew out. It's the 1st "Green" cleaner that I've found to do that w/out scrubbing, reapplying, scrubbing, reapplying for an hour. I also add a capful to my laundry. The shit is amazing.
the stores took back products that were used and open? i wonder if they will do that here?? i have many bottles of things that I don't want to throw out, but don't want to be using around the house.....

Kelly- I don't know where you bought your stuff, but it's totally worth a try!
