Conversations with Emma
At a Christmas Party today, "Santa" was there. I asked Emma if she'd like to remind Santa what she wanted for Christmas.
Emma: No. I already told the UHDDER Santa.
(We had visited Santa at the local mall just after Thanksgiving)

Emma: Mommy? Who made Theo?
Me: Mommy and Daddy did.
Emma: Oh.
Emma: Who made the birds?
Me: God. Who did you think made the birds?
Emma: The people.
Emma: Who made our clothes?
Me: I'm not sure...probably some women in China, or Indonesia.
Emma: Oh. I thought God did. He did make the rainbow, you know.

During Sunday school, they were learning about the birth of "Baby Jesus". Their craft was to make a "Potato baby" (this is a potato, wrapped in some cloth with a face drawn on it.)
Emma: Look Mommy! This is my baby Jesus! He's pretending to be a potato.
Emma: No. I already told the UHDDER Santa.
