Door Lock

We found out today that Theo knows how to unlock the dead bolt and open the front door of our house. We were getting ready to make a trip to Lowe's. I was helping Emma in the living room, and Tim was in the back brushing his teeth. I THOUGHT Theo was in the playroom. I went to grab my purse when I noticed the front doo was open. Theo was not in the playroom. I ran outside and there was Theo, standing in about 2 feet into the street. I calmly walked over to him (had I screamed and began to run, he would have thought this was a game and would have taken off across the street) picked him up, and took him inside. I told him he was to NEVER open the door again without Mommy or Daddy. He shook his head "yes" when I asked if he understood, and then he placed himself on the "time out" mat. Good Lord we were lucky. Lucky, lucky lucky! My heart is still in my stomach. Needless to say, our door knob, once again, now dons the childproof cap.

(FYI: I cleaned the office today and didn't see any signs of the cricket from my last post. As soon as I sat down to post this, it began to jump again...I can hear it hitting things. Ughhh.)
