Surviving Solo

Tim's still in St. Louis with his mother, who's recovering from emergency surgery. Man. I have no idea how single parents do it all the time! It's so tough. Hats off to those of you who do it without going insane.

Tim gets home Sunday night and I've DEMANDED we have a date. We have not gone out alone in about 6 months, and I've had it! It's really inexcusable seeing as the writers are still striking, and so he hasn't had work in weeks. Although, he's been doing his quarterly organizing until the wee hours of the morning.

He's having foot surgery on Monday, but will have to stay off it for 1 week. I'm so looking forward to that!

Emma has her Public School Christmas show next Thursday, and then her pre-school show on the 21st. It is SO cute! She has been doing all the dances for me, and it is a riot! There are 3 four year olds in her (non-public) pre-school and the 3 of them are doing a dance to the song "Santa Rap". Let me tell you, if you need a laugh, you must see my daughter do hip-hop. Just hearing her say, "raise the roof" is hysterical!

The Children's musical at Church is on the 16th, and she is very excited about that.

Oh, and apparently I have a son-in-law. Emma "got married" during recess to "her boyfriend" Erik. Oh, Lord...it's starting already.
