Ghosts
I totally believe in Ghosts. I do. I have experienced too many freaky "hauntings" not to believe in them, however, I never talk about this, especially to Emma.
While tucking Emma in bed the other night, Emma asked me, "Mommy? Do you see that ghost?" "What? No, Emma. There is not a ghost in your room." "Yes there IS Mommy! He's right up there. (she pointed to the top of the window) He's a friendly, ghost. He's my friend." (okay, I got mildly spooked about then. I racked my brain trying to remember if there had been a reference to a ghost on anything we'd watched that week, and couldn't remember anything.) "Well, Emma, you should tell the ghost that he should go to the light. That he should go to Heaven." (Okay, I admit that I have watched Sylvia Brown on Montel and that's what she says you should do. Can't hurt, eh?) With that, she just said, "Goodnight, Mommy. I Love you, I love you too! Sweet dreams." I told her the same, "I love you! I love you too! Sweet dreams!" and I shut the door.
Anyway, this morning, she called me into her room. I asked her if she'd had sweet dreams. She said she had. I asked her what she wanted for Breakfast. She said she wanted a "peanut butter and jelly sandwhich without the jelly and no brown part". "Okay", I said. "Sounds perfect"
I was walking out of her room when she jumped up on her bed, looked to the ceiling, and shouted, "Go to Heaven, ghost! You are dead!" Then, she just jumped down and ran past me, towards the playroom calling, "I want to watch "Little Einsteins and Jojo's Circus! And I want some milky!"
There's been no mention of this since. I'm sure she's just remembering Halloween, or something, but it was just creepy.
